Water resistance: 18,000 mm/H₂O, breathability: 12,000 g/m²/24 hrs. The softshell keeps things warm even when the wind is howling — yet when the sun comes out, children will not overheat thanks to the special membrane. Unlined softshell is best suited to the warmer spring and autumn months. The material is extremely stretchy and supple; however, to preserve these remarkable properties of the stretchy softshell, the material may be more prone to abrasion. Put simply, it is a knit rather than a woven fabric, which means it has lower abrasion resistance. The material is not fully waterproof like a raincoat, but it handles light showers with ease. To maintain its excellent properties, we recommend not using fabric softener or a tumble dryer and re-waterproofing from time to time. The material does not contain harmful PFAS substances.
