They are sewn from quality softshell that has a soft Light sherpa on the inside instead of classic fleece. This makes them lighter yet still warm and pleasant to wear. They are perfectly suited to winter walks or outdoor play when it is cold but there is no snow on the ground yet. For proper tobogganing or snowball fights, our Sherpa Plus version or classic winter over-trousers are an excellent choice. The trousers have a soft waistband that protects the lower back and keeps the trousers in place, even when children are bending or crawling on all fours. The lightweight cut, soft sherpa and comfortable material make the Light trousers an ideal choice for days when you want children to be warm yet still free to move. Water resistance: 18,000 mm/H₂O, breathability: 12,000 g/m²/24 hrs. The softshell keeps things warm even when the wind is howling — yet when the sun comes out, children will not overheat thanks to the special membrane. Sherpa-lined softshell is best suited to the winter months. This softshell is extremely stretchy and supple. To preserve these remarkable properties of the stretchy softshell, the material may be more prone to abrasion. Put simply, it is a knit rather than a woven fabric, which means it has lower abrasion resistance. The material is not fully waterproof like a raincoat, but it handles light showers with ease. To maintain its excellent properties, we recommend not using fabric softener or a tumble dryer and re-waterproofing from time to time. Our softshell does not contain harmful PFAS substances, keeping your children that little bit safer.
